It matches the spraypaint I used on the oil cap really well too. Well enough at least

Every time I see someone so satisfied with the results of powder coating, I tell myself I should start doing it again.

And then I remember the time we spent a day coating 6 0 or so giant diesel pistons and rods in gloss black w/ prism flake for trophies at a car show, then spent the next few days blowing my nose and having it look like I worked in a rainbow-filled coal mine.

Proper PPE would have prevented that. I have to remind myself of this every time I do anything that creates sawdust. Sanding is especially bad. If I don’t wear a dust mask, I end up with a massive sinus headache the next day.

How much do you think it would cost, to powder coat everything? Maybe a couple hundred bucks, it would look fire.

Plus, you probably know that sawdust has been classified as a carcinogen - nasopharyngeal carcinomas.  I can’t imagine the powder is any better.
